2.1. These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders and purchases made through the My Mini Museum website.
2.2. Customers have the opportunity to review and save these Terms & Conditions before placing an order.
2.3. My Mini Museum sells products to both individual consumers and business customers.
2.4. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
2.5. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any mandatory statutory consumer rights.
3. Products and Customisation
3.1. My Mini Museum sells miniature museum display sets and related accessories, including miniature picture frames and decorative components.
3.2. Customers can create their own Mini Museum by selecting from available sizes, frame colours, miniature frame colours and additional accessories.
3.3. Products are supplied as physical components intended to be assembled, arranged and decorated by customers at home.
3.4. Personal photographs are not included unless expressly stated otherwise. My Mini Museum does not print personal photographs or install them in the miniature frames.
3.5. We make reasonable efforts to display and describe our products accurately. Minor differences in colour or finish may occur due to screen settings or normal manufacturing variations. This does not affect the customer's statutory right to receive goods that conform to the contract.
3.6. The contents of each order are determined by the products and options selected and confirmed by the customer during checkout.
4. Orders
4.1. Customers are responsible for reviewing their selected products, colours, sizes, quantities and delivery details before submitting an order.
4.2. An order is submitted by completing checkout and confirming the obligation to pay.
4.3. After placing an order, customers will receive an electronic order confirmation.
4.4. If a product unexpectedly becomes unavailable, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible and offer an appropriate solution or refund.
4.5. My Mini Museum may refuse or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including suspected fraud or an obvious pricing error, subject to applicable law.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1. All prices displayed on our website are in British pounds sterling (GBP).
5.2. Prices include the taxes we are legally required to charge at the point of sale.
5.3. Standard shipping is free for orders placed within our accepted delivery areas.
5.4. Available payment methods may include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, UnionPay, American Express, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
5.5. Payments are processed using the secure payment services available at checkout.
5.6. Discount codes, special offers and promotions are valid only during the stated promotional period and are subject to their applicable conditions.
5.7. Import duties and additional charges are addressed in Section 8.
6. Order Changes and Cancellations
6.1. We aim to process orders as quickly as possible to ensure efficient delivery.
6.2. Customers wishing to change an order may contact us at info@myminimuseum.com
6.3. Once an order has entered processing, we cannot guarantee that changes can still be made.
6.4. If an order has already been shipped, it may no longer be possible to stop or modify the shipment.
6.5. The above does not restrict any statutory consumer right to cancel a contract.
6.6. Valid statutory cancellations will be handled in accordance with Section 9.
7. Shipping and Delivery
7.1. My Mini Museum currently ships to delivery addresses in the United Kingdom that are accepted during checkout.
7.2. Products are dispatched directly to customers from our external supplier located in Asia.
7.3. Estimated delivery usually takes 10–12 business days after dispatch, unless otherwise stated. Order processing time before dispatch is not included in this estimate.
7.4. Delivery times are estimates and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly agreed.
7.5. International shipments may experience delays due to customs inspections, logistical circumstances, carrier congestion or other factors beyond our direct control.
7.6. Once available, customers will receive a tracking number to monitor their shipment.
7.7. My Mini Museum remains responsible for fulfilling the sales contract, even when third-party suppliers or shipping carriers are involved.
7.8. For consumer purchases, responsibility for loss or damage during shipping remains with My Mini Museum until the goods are received by the consumer or a person nominated by the consumer, subject to applicable statutory exceptions.
8. International Shipping, Taxes and Customs
8.1. Our products are shipped from a country outside the United Kingdom.
8.2. For orders falling within the applicable UK rules for consignments valued at £135 or less, UK VAT will be handled in accordance with the relevant tax regulations.
8.3. For consignments valued above £135, import VAT, customs duties and administrative charges may apply. The amount of these charges depends on the applicable customs and tax regulations.
8.4. Any applicable import charges will be handled in accordance with relevant legislation. Such costs will only be passed on to customers where there is a lawful and contractual basis for doing so and all applicable disclosure requirements have been met.
8.5. Different tax and customs rules may apply to deliveries to Northern Ireland.
9. Consumer Right to Cancel
9.1. Consumers purchasing products online generally have the statutory right to cancel an order within 14 days after receiving the goods, without providing a reason.
9.2. Where an order is delivered in separate shipments, the cancellation period generally begins after the final item has been received.
9.3. Customers wishing to cancel their order are requested to email info@myminimuseum.com within the statutory cancellation period, including their order number. An unequivocal cancellation statement made by another legally permitted method will also be valid.
9.4. Customers must return the goods within 14 days after notifying us of their decision to cancel.
9.5. Customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we state otherwise or applicable law requires us to cover those costs.
9.6. Customers may inspect goods as they reasonably would in a physical store. Where legally permitted, a deduction may be made for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
9.7. Following a valid cancellation, we will refund the purchase price, including any standard delivery charges that must legally be refunded.
9.8. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice. We may withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received or the customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
9.9. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless another fee-free method has been expressly agreed.
9.10. A statutory exemption from cancellation rights for genuinely made-to-measure or clearly personalised goods will only be applied where the relevant products meet the legal requirements for that exemption. Selecting standard colours, sizes or accessories does not automatically remove the right to cancel.
9.11. Business customers do not automatically have a statutory right to return products simply because they change their mind, unless applicable mandatory law provides otherwise or a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
10. Returns and Return Costs
10.1. Customers wishing to return an order are requested to contact us at info@myminimuseum.com.
10.2. When exercising the statutory right to cancel, customers are responsible for the direct shipping costs of returning the goods to the Netherlands.
10.3. Return Shipping and Customs Charges
For standard returns from the United Kingdom to the Netherlands, customers are responsible for paying the direct return shipping costs in advance.
We ask customers to use a shipping service that supports Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), allowing any applicable import duties, import VAT and customs clearance charges to be paid by the sender in advance, where supported by the carrier.
Any charges that cannot be determined in advance will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Costs that must legally be borne by My Mini Museum will not be passed on to the customer.
This policy does not affect the consumer's statutory right to cancel.
10.4. Return instructions will be provided by email upon request. Our return address is:
Jonk & Rijkenberg E-commerce VOF
Neptunusstraat 18
1131 WJ Volendam
The Netherlands
10.5. Consumers do not need prior approval to exercise their statutory right to cancel.
10.6. We ask customers to return all products complete, undamaged and preferably in their original packaging, including any accessories supplied. The absence of original packaging does not, by itself, invalidate a statutory cancellation. Where products have been handled or used beyond what is necessary to inspect them, a deduction for diminished value may be made where permitted by law.
10.7. We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping proof of postage.
10.8. Statutory consumer rights remain applicable to damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied products. Costs that must legally be borne by My Mini Museum will not be charged to the customer.
11. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Products
11.1. My Mini Museum aims to deliver all products complete, in good condition and as described.
11.2. If a product arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or incorrect, customers may contact us at info@myminimuseum.com.
11.3. To help us resolve the issue efficiently, we ask customers to provide their order number, a description of the problem and, where reasonably possible, clear photographs.
11.4. For damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied products, My Mini Museum will preferably provide a free replacement product or replacement component. Where applicable consumer law entitles the customer to a refund, repair, price reduction or another statutory remedy, those rights remain fully protected. No short mandatory reporting deadline applies that would restrict a consumer's statutory rights.
12. Assembly and Product Use
12.1. Unless otherwise stated, our Mini Museums are supplied as separate components intended to be arranged or assembled by the customer.
12.2. Customers should handle the products carefully and follow any instructions provided.
12.3. Products may contain small components and are not intended as toys for young children unless expressly stated otherwise.
12.4. To the extent permitted by law, My Mini Museum is not responsible for damage caused solely by proven misuse, careless handling or customer modifications unrelated to a product defect.
12.5. Statutory consumer rights relating to product safety and defective goods remain fully protected.
13. Customer Photos, Reviews and Submitted Content
13.1. Customers may voluntarily submit photographs, videos, reviews or other content to My Mini Museum.
13.2. Providing photographs is not required to place an order.
13.3. Customers confirm that they have the necessary rights and permissions to share any content submitted to us.
13.4. Where customers voluntarily submit photographs, videos or other content for promotional purposes and provide separate, explicit permission for that use, they grant My Mini Museum a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the content on our website, social media channels and in advertisements, within the scope of the permission granted and applicable law.
13.5. Customers retain copyright in their own original photographs and other submitted content unless expressly agreed otherwise.
13.6. Where submitted content contains personal data, we will process it in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. Consent for personal data processing may be withdrawn.
13.7. My Mini Museum reserves the right to reject or remove unlawful, inappropriate or rights-infringing submitted content.
13.8. Further information about personal data processing is available in our separate Privacy Policy.
14. Intellectual Property
14.1. All rights in our website, branding, product images, text, designs and other original content belong to My Mini Museum or the relevant rights holders.
14.2. Unauthorised commercial copying, distribution or use of such content is prohibited unless permitted by law.
14.3. Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the My Mini Museum brand or any related intellectual property.
14.4. Customers retain their intellectual property rights in their own original submitted content.
15. Liability
15.1. My Mini Museum is responsible for loss or damage to the extent required by applicable law.
15.2. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, where the law permits such a limitation.
15.3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15.4. All statutory rights under consumer protection and product safety legislation remain fully applicable.
15.5. Any limitations of liability applicable to business customers apply only to the extent that they are lawful, reasonable and enforceable.
16. Events Beyond Our Control
16.1. Events beyond our reasonable control may include natural disasters, serious transport disruptions, war, strikes, government restrictions or similar circumstances preventing or delaying the fulfilment of our obligations.
16.2. Where such circumstances cause a significant disruption, we will make reasonable efforts to inform affected customers.
16.3. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and offer an appropriate solution where possible.
16.4. Such events do not remove statutory consumer rights relating to termination or refunds.
17. Complaints and Customer Support
17.1. Customers may contact us with questions, complaints or requests at info@myminimuseum.com.
17.2. We aim to respond to customer enquiries within 24 hours. This is a service target and does not guarantee that every complaint will be fully resolved within that period.
17.3. Complaints will be handled carefully and fairly. We will make reasonable efforts to find an appropriate solution together with the customer.
18. Privacy and Personal Information
18.1. My Mini Museum processes personal information for purposes including order fulfilment, payment processing, shipping and customer support.
18.2. Where necessary and legally permitted, personal data may be shared with payment processors, logistics providers, suppliers and other service providers.
18.3. Further information about personal data processing, international transfers, retention periods and privacy rights is available in our separate Privacy Policy.
18.4. Cookies and marketing technologies are used in accordance with applicable privacy and electronic communications legislation.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
19.1. These Terms & Conditions and contracts with My Mini Museum are governed by Dutch law.
19.2. This choice of law does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of habitual residence, including applicable UK consumer legislation.
19.3. In the event of a dispute, both parties are encouraged to seek an amicable resolution first.
19.4. Where legal proceedings become necessary, jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes a consumer's right to bring proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction under the applicable legal rules.
20. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
20.1. My Mini Museum may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in business operations, products or applicable laws.
20.2. The version of these Terms & Conditions in effect when an order is placed will generally govern that order.
20.3. Changes will not retrospectively reduce existing statutory or contractual consumer rights.
20.4. The latest version of these Terms & Conditions is available on our website.
